Learn to bake with us
Get your hands in the dough
Our workshops are small, unhurried, and entirely hands-on. Whether you've never baked a loaf or you're looking to refine a technique, you'll spend the day working alongside Maya or James in the same kitchen where we bake every morning.
Every class includes lunch, refreshments, and a generous haul of everything you've baked to take home. Groups are kept small — no more than ten, often fewer — so there's always time for questions, conversation, and the odd flour fight.

Book NowWhat to Expect
Every workshop follows roughly the same rhythm, though times vary depending on the class. Here's how a typical day unfolds.
Arrive & settle in
We'll welcome you with fresh coffee, tea, and a warm pastry straight from the oven. Find your bench, tie on an apron, and get comfortable — the bakery is yours for the day.
Introduction & first doughs
Maya or James will talk you through the day, then we dive straight in. You'll get your hands into the dough within the first fifteen minutes — we believe in learning by doing, not watching.
Shape, prove & explore
While your first doughs prove, we'll move on to shaping techniques, scoring patterns, or pastry work depending on the class. This is where things start to feel intuitive.
Into the oven & lunch
Your bakes go into our ovens and the kitchen fills with that unmistakable smell. We sit down together for a long, relaxed lunch — fresh bread, seasonal dishes, and good conversation.
Final bakes & finishing touches
The afternoon is for finishing, glazing, and perfecting. We'll share tips for recreating everything at home and answer every question you've been saving up.
Pack up & head home
You'll leave with a box (or bag) of everything you've baked, your recipe cards, and the warm satisfaction of a day well spent. We'll be here if you ever need baking advice — just drop us a line.

From Past Workshops
Flour-covered hands, golden loaves, and that look on someone's face when their bread comes out of the oven for the first time.
